US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke about his trip to Kiev, saying it was a chance to strongly demonstrate America’s continued support for the Ukrainian government.
He says that during the meeting with the officials, the President of Ukraine Zelensky expressed his appreciation for the leadership of President Joe Biden and the generosity of the USA towards Ukraine.
Blinken adds that Russia continues to try to brutalize parts of Ukraine, but the Ukrainians are staying strong. He also says Moscow is failing in its war goals, while Ukraine is succeeding.
The Secretary of State says a sovereign and independent Ukraine will last much longer than Russia’s Vladimir Putin is on the scene.
