Russian forces will announce a ceasefire from 10 a.m. Moscow time the next day and have expressed readiness to provide humanitarian corridors so people can leave Kiev and four other cities, according to the Tass news agency.
Information on the corridors from Kiev, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Mariupol will be sent to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, said Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Control Center.
“Given the deteriorating humanitarian situation and to ensure the safety of civilians and foreign nationals, Russia will observe a 10 a.m. Moscow time regime on March 9 and is ready to provide humanitarian corridors.“A Russian official was quoted as saying by Tass.
