Several Russian attacks have been reported overnight in the western part of Ukraine. Ukrainian officials suggest that during the night there were two very powerful explosions in Zhytomyr while now the situation in the city is a little calmer.
The tremors in the city were very strong and created the feeling of an earthquake. City dwellers panicked as they immediately left their homes.
The head of the Volyn regional military administration in western Ukraine, Yuriy Pohuliaiko, said a rocket hit a fuel depot and was fired from neighboring Belarus, as the military reports.
“I just got back from the stage,” Yuriy Pohuliaiko said in a Telegram post. “I want to inform you that rescue teams are still working at the site of the rocket attack. There are no casualties at the moment. “
The rocket flew at a low altitude, dodging radar detection, he said.
