Vladimir Kara-Murza, a prominent Russian opposition activist, was arrested and sentenced to 15 days in prison for disobeying police orders.
His arrest came just hours after Vladimir Kara-Murza gave an interview to CNN, during which he called the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin “murderer” and predicted that the war in Ukraine would lead to the fall of President Putin.

“The United States is disturbed by the arrest in Moscow of important civil society leader Vladimir Kara-Murza,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrote on Twitter. “We are closely monitoring the situation and calling for his immediate release.”
