A sailor has died and 27 others are missing after Russian warship Moskva sank last week, according to the Russian defense ministry.
The RIA news agency writes that 396 other crew members were rescued from the Moskva ship, which belonged to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
The Luftaniya Moskva, part of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea, which had on board close to 500 crew members, was engulfed in fire and sank in stormy weather that reigned the day after the attack. The ship had set sail for port but sank without arriving.
Russia mysteriously obscured the fate of part of the crew of its sunken Moscow cruiser. The pride of the Russian fleet lies at the bottom of the sea, and the Kremlin does not publicly acknowledge the failure and the deep blow it received with its destruction, but claims that everything was the result of a fire on board near the ammunition.
