Democrat Roland Bejko has spoken out against Sali Berisha’s protest, which will be held the next day.
Invited to “Top Talk” today, he said that even if he was a member of the DP, he would not go behind Berisha, as according to him, the protest is in the interest of the leader of the DP, and not in the interest of the Albanians. He said that he does not expect Berisha’s protest to topple the government, as this is impossible.
“I will not go to the protest tomorrow. Even if I were a deputy, I would not go. This should have been organized before because the Albanian economy is bad. Berisha needs the protest because he wants to send signals to the USA to say that I am a strong opposition, he took it hard. He took advantage of Democrats who were desperate and annoyed by Mr. Basha. Berisha used this to remove Basha and identify him as the one sold from all sides. I know his tactics. I did a lot for him and he for me, but in politics there is a lot. Now the European factors that say “no” have been added. You should be in protest against Rama, I am every day. I am critical of his government, but I cannot be so naive about Berisha. He said for 6 months I will overthrow Rama. Citizens trusted Berisha, let him overthrow Rama, I want to applaud, but in Albania the government has not fallen with protest“, said Bejko.
He said that if Berisha does not overthrow the government tomorrow as he has warned, it will be called a failure, just like Lulzim Basha’s protests.
“Berisha came out and said the mandates should be burned. He changes the words according to the situations. Tomorrow, Berisha must not bring the democrats home without overthrowing Rama, otherwise he will be called a failure like Basha. Basha also protested. It will be called a failure for me and for many other Democrats”he added.
