The Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations of the Democratic Party announces that today on dt. April 23, 2022, elections for DP Chairman are taking place in several branches.
There are 1346 voters in Kurbin with the right to vote who will vote for Gjergj Oroshi, Islam Ismalji, Isuf Xhaferri, Vladimir Korriku. The process has been going on normally since 08:00 in the morning, where it seems that in the first hours there is a high number of voters.
The democrats of Durrës will also elect the new head of the branch today. Since the opening of the voting process that is taking place in the lobby of the theater “Aleksandër Moisiu” the interest of the membership to vote is high.
In this election, organized by the Re-establishment Commission, three well-known names for the two-party democrats are competing against each other: Ardian Muka, Igli Cara and Osman Stafa. Cara and Stafa have been former leaders of this branch and intend to take its leadership again, while the urbanist Muka comes in this process after securing the support of the majority of Democrats, but also many citizens of Durrës as a candidate for mayor in the by-elections.
