Buxhuku listed a range of problems ranging from poor fuel quality to mass smuggling.
Gert Buxhuku: We demand increase of the Regulatory Entity and reduction of taxes. That would increase the profits of operators in the market. Another worrying factor is the fact that it is not in vain that prices are kept so high, we have reliable data that there is mass smuggling.
The higher the taxes, the more tax evasion there will be. There are 200 thousand tons of smuggling in Albania. If we eliminate tax evasion, taxes are reduced and prices stabilize. The other problem is the very poor quality of the fuel we use in Albania.
