In a shared reaction on the social network “Twitter”, the European Commission states that in order to stop Russian oil and to secure the supply, EU countries will be required to provide underground gas deposits which must be filled. at least up to 90% by October of each year.
“Uncertainty in supply is increasing pressure on energy prices in Europe. To stop it and secure our gas supply, EU countries will be required to ensure that underground gas reservoirs are filled to at least 90% of its capacity by 1 October each year“, writes the EC on Twitter.
