Judge Agron Zhukri will be the one to decide the fate of the parallel statute of the Democratic Party that was approved by the National Assembly on December 11 at the stadium “Air Albania” in Tirana.
In a press release, the Tirana Court has clarified that there is no information whether Judge Zhukri has withdrawn from the review of the request, filed in this court on Wednesday by the Re-establishment Commission of the DP.
“Regarding the request of Judge Agron Zhukri for waiving the review of the request made by the Democratic Party of Albania, I inform you that the Court of Tirana has no information regarding this request.“, It is said in the press release.
The Tirana court issued an official announcement this Thursday regarding the filing of the request of the Re-establishment Commission for statutory changes, decided in the National Assembly on December 11, explaining that the case has been registered and will be reviewed by Judge Agron Zhukri.
Within 48 hours, two separate requests for changes to the statute of the Democratic Party were filed in the Court of Tirana.
In the petition filed Tuesday, the Democratic Party sought the reflection of changes to the party statute and elected bodies in the July 17, 2021 National Assembly.
On Wednesday, the Democratic Party Re-establishment Commission asked the court to reflect on the statutory changes made in the Assembly on December 11 held at the “Air Albania” stadium.
The same two claims in object, but not in content, are expected to be considered separately in the Capital Court.
The request for statutory changes of the Assembly on July 17 will be reviewed by Judge Blerina Muça.
