The Socialist majority does not waste time expressing readiness for the dismissal at noon on Wednesday of the Parliamentary Commission for the new territorial administrative reform.
Taulant Balla, the head of the socialist parliamentary group, hinted that at the moment only a new reorganization can take place at the county level.
Taulant Balla: There is a lot of work to be done to evaluate and see the possibility of a different role from the current one of the counties. We must understand that regional development must be our common challenge. The circuits in their current model have somewhat lost their weight. We need to find a way to move towards a more functional regional organization.
Taulant Balla expressed his personal opinion that the 61 municipalities we currently have are too many.
This attitude of his, although personal, sends a clear signal to the opposition, which aims through this reform to reformat the current map of the municipalities in the country.
The derailment of this reform came after the DP on Monday deposited 35 signatures to be part of the territorial discussions.
In fact, correction is a mistake that comes from Enkelejd Alibeaj.
Eight years ago, when the territorial reform was approved, the discussions were boycotted by Lulzim Basha, leaving the SP open to decision-making, together with the votes of the PDIU.
In the current context of the situation within the DP, the establishment of the commission for territorial reform through 35 firms filed by Enkelejd Alibeaj shows that in Parliament he enjoys control of the parliamentary group and not Sali Berisha.
