The riots within the DP deepened even more the day before, after the referendum on the dismissal of Basha was held.
At the same time, the National Assembly convened by Basha was held, where the resolution of the National Council was approved.
According to the resolution, the December 11 meeting of the Assembly convened by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is illegal and its decisions are null and void and have no political or legal value for the DP.
But this did not stop Berisha at all, who after the referendum results came out, went to the blue headquarters together with dozens of his supporters, while the meeting of the party leadership was being held inside the building.
Berisha has announced that on Monday, December 20, tomorrow will take place the first national protest, where citizens will protest in front of the Prime Minister at 16:00.
Internal problems within the Democratic Party flared up after Basha expelled Berisha from the PD Parliamentary Group, following his declaration ‘non grata’ by the US. After this event, the former leader of the Democratic Party started holding lectures in various cities of the country, while the Re-Establishment Commission of the party was established.
