Friends and colleagues of the People’s Artist share memories with Agim Krajka.
“Lately he was saying what he thought. In fact he always expressed what he thought but lately more, he said what he felt“, Says Vikena Kamenica.
The singer tells what bothered the artist. “Mediocrity was in pain. The fact that everyone was being called artists, and those who make songs but are not singers”.
Singer Kozma Dushi confesses that singing a song by Agim Krajka was his wish, but it did not come true. “I met Krajka for the first time on ART. I was small, I met him in the corridors. I’m sorry I did not have the chance to sing one of his songs. To tell the truth to sing one of his songs, there was a long queue. Lucky those who have sung songs of the composer”.
Kozma Dushi considers Agim Krajka “the artist who has made light, truly Albanian music”.
Agim Krajka has participated in many music festivals until the last festivals after the ’90s, starting with the famous song “Lemza”, sung by Vaçe Zela at the First Radio Song Festival in 1961. He was honored with over 15 second prizes, 3 third prizes and only one first prize at the 1987 Festival, with the song “Nuk e harroj”, sung by the Libohova sisters.
Last night, Ulis Krajka announced the death of his father.
