Kosovo commemorates the 23rd anniversary of the Recak massacre, where 45 innocent civilians were killed by Serbian paramilitary forces.
As in previous years, on this 23rd anniversary of the massacre, the Recak Memorial Complex is filled with leaders of institutions, politicians and relatives of those killed, who demanded justice for the massacre.
A commemorative event was organized after the honors, where witnesses and family members of the event recounted the horrors experienced. Present Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the denial of the massacre is done to change history
The horrors caused in the village of Recak received the attention of the entire civilized world, while the former head of the OSCE William Walker present at the scene at the time described it as a crime against humanity.
