A few days ago at the Air Albania stadium, an intensive field recovery program has started for the match between Albania and England, scheduled for March 28.

“We are doing a mini renovation of the field. This area has a special specificity as even with the naked eye you can see the difference between the grass that stays in the shade and that part that the sun reaches. We created some holes to facilitate penetration between the layers. The upper part has a kind of thin sand layer while in the depths there is another layer which for the moment is not connected and we will try to make it connect through the roots of the grass we are planting “, said Dean Gilasbey, UEFA Field Engineer.
But how will it be recovered?
“In this shady part we will use artificial lighting to help the grass recover, we still have 26 days from the day of the match and for this reason we are trying with an intensive program to recover everything. “But to get where we need to be, we need a lot of factors, above all the weather conditions and some other factors, but I hope that with a little luck we will be fine”, said Dean Gilasbey, UEFA field engineer.
