Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the increase in the price of oil, gasoline and gas.
He replied to a citizen through a Facebook post as he wanted to know the reason why the government should set a high price while Albania is the poorest country in the region.
In his response, Rama told him that the increase in oil prices is not only a problem of Albania, while for salaries he stressed that there will be an increase again.
“Rising prices is a general problem today, it is enough to see Kosovo not to go far, while as I promised we are keeping more costs for the budget, the shield over the price of energy for household consumers and small business, that everywhere has jumped and is jumping up! As for salaries, they have increased and will continue to increase, but the increase of salaries is not done according to our wishes, as I would be the first to increase them all at once, but any increase out of possibilities, means total bankruptcy in a few months as in the time of Suda, therefore it takes work and patience, to climb to the ground there is no other safe way“, Answers the Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
Oil recently seems to be approaching the level of 200 lek per liter. In some gas stations in the capital, oil is sold for 193 Lekë, becoming more expensive by almost 8 Lekë in relation to the recent increase. The increase has also continued for gasoline.
Currently, in the retail outlets of gasoline, gasoline is traded for about 195 lek per liter, marking an increase similar to oil, while the price of gas has not stopped. The latter in some of the fuels is sold for about 94 lek per liter.
