Prime Minister Edi Rama was this Thursday in the new pediatrics at the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa”, which has opened today the doors for children who will need health care.
The Prime Minister said that QSUT will become the largest and most modern complex in the region, adding that within this mandate will be completed every part of the hospital.
Further, the Prime Minister added that once medicines in hospitals were ordered with friends and parties, while the balance of supply was out of control.
“I believe that the physical condition of any infrastructure has an extraordinary role, but also in the relationship between patients, family members and health personnel. This relationship has been strained once and it was the working conditions that made it so. The medical staff and all the rest interacted and communicated. It was unimaginable what was happening here and today we are absolutely in another phase. Not many years ago we had stocks of unused medicines, and we had dramatic shortages in needed medicines. It all relates to clientelistic orders, according to distributors, who had ties to the Ministry of Health and for friend, for party, for bribe, the supply balance was out of control. I am glad that according to our forecasts, within this mandate we conclude every part of QSUT that needs to enter this standard. “QSUT turns into the largest and most modern complex in the region, not in Albania”, said Rama.
