Today is the fourth day of the war in Ukraine by Russian forces which entered the territory of Ukraine with tanks and weapons.
Although according to Western sources, Russian forces have encountered fierce resistance from Ukrainian troops, so far 200 civilians have lost their lives and hundreds more have been injured.
Referring to the Russian occupation of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, in a televised speech stressed that this is a special operation to provide assistance to the Donbas People’s Republics and hailed the heroism of Russian special forces fighting in Ukraine.
“Special thanks to those who these days are heroically fulfilling their military duty during a special operation to provide assistance to the popular republics of Donbas”, he said.
Moscow also says that Kiev’s forces must surrender and the country must agree to become a neutral territory, conditions that are unacceptable to the Ukrainian side.
