Rising prices and strict anti-Covid measures have prompted hundreds of students to protest in the Greek capital.
The protest took place this Saturday in Athens, in front of the Greek parliament and in Pamepistimio and Omonia squares, as students chanted slogans against the government’s austerity measures.
Police intervened to disperse the crowd, using chemicals and tear gas, while youths responded with stones and sticks.
One person was detained by agents and taken to the Attica Police Department.
In recent days, groups of anarchists have been protesting in the streets of Athens, while the night before, about 20 anarchists threw Molotov cocktails at the police station in the Aksarkia neighborhood.
