Prime Minister Edi Rama went this Tuesday to The Hague prison, where he visited the former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi.
Rama posted a video on “Facebook” of the images as he entered the premises of the Hague cell. The meeting started at 11:30 and is expected to last for several hours.
Rama’s visit comes after Hashim Thaçi pleaded not guilty to several new charges filed by The Hague-based Specialized Chambers.
The former president of Kosovo said that he did not understand the accusations, as there are many. “I plead not guilty, although I have not read or understood the charges, but I plead not guilty,” he said, as he attended the hearing via video link from the Hague Detention Center.
