The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said during the meeting of the DP leadership today, that on July 7, a large protest will take place in order to support the citizens against the increase of prices.
The leader of the Democrats said that the protest will be attended by public figures, opposition political forces and members of civil society. Berisha added that the boards have become spokespersons for a brutal exploitation of Albanian citizens.

The Democratic Party is heading towards this protest with personalities active in public life and civil society. There is no doubt that the main problem is a noose around the throats of Albanians that is being tightened every day by the stratospheric prices of the communist debts of Edi Rama’s government. I can tell Albanians that boards on behalf of the government and the oligarchs have become a bloodthirsty mechanism. Two days ago, the power of oil on the stock exchange was 108 dollars, the oil on the market was 2600 and some lek. Two months ago when the power of oil was the same, the liter of oil was 2200 ALL. So the boards have become spokespersons of a brutal exploitation of Albanian citizens. There is no other possibility that eggs and grains, liters of milk, cheese, cost in Albania 107% of the EU average price. This is what the board does and what I tell you are the statistics of the institute controlled by Edi Rama. How can oil have the same price as Finland or Norway and Switzerland at a time when wages are much lower. Only from the VAT of increased prices the government has benefited 340 million euros and the government has reduced by 2% the economic aid for the families in need. We are dealing with a government which has no morals and makes decisions as if these people are not fed and clothed.
