Moroccan rescue teams continued today efforts and prayers to rescue the 5-year-old trapped in a narrow well 30 meters deep, in northern Morocco.
The child, identified only as Rayan, is already trapped by crap for days deep at the bottom of the well and firefighters said they are already near him, but with each passing hour the hopes continue to diminish to find him alive.
“People have spared nothing to save my son,” her father Rayan said as he pursued work and excavations, Reuters reports.
Live footage from state television Al-Aoula TV showed last night the launch of horizontal excavations to reach the child.
The unfortunate boy fell into the dangerous well on Tuesday afternoon.
Although food and oxygen have been sent to the well, there is no guarantee that the baby will survive.
He was discovered only after being heard by his crying mother, two days later.
His father told the Al-Aoula network that he had seen his son drinking water sent to the bottom of the well by employees.
“He was moving, he was drinking some water. We hope he is well, God help him, said the father.
Local media they said that water and food had been sent to the child by means of ropes.
A member of the rescue team said excavations were continuing and that the operation had reached a complex stage as officials sought to avoid possible landslides.
A helicopter and medical staff are on stage waiting for the boy to be rescued, while hundreds of people wait for news at the scene and thousands more pray for him on social media and television.
