Car-free Sunday is turning every Sunday into a ritual in Tirana.
Citizens also this Sunday have chosen to leave cars and move on foot, or with environmentally friendly means, such as bicycles.
In the framework of the “Car Free Day”, the Municipality of Tirana has organized a series of activities, especially for the youngest, or other events that aim to encourage young people to use the bike as much as possible and to make it a popular tool in Tirana.
The government has decided that the car-free day will be extended once a month to the main cities of the 12 regions of the country and is a call for action, savings and a cleaner environment.
The Municipality of Tirana has declared every Sunday a car-free day for the citizens.
