IT experts explain that the owners of this data use them mainly for profit by selling them to various individuals or businesses that violate the privacy of these persons.
“These data have been created from different directions, by persons seeking to benefit financially. We have often heard of databases of various platforms that can be stolen and easily end up on the black market. They can be people who work in different organizations or companies that for financial reasons can distribute them to third parties. “said Florenc Hidri, IT expert.
On the security side, according to experts, their publication can cause great damage, as they can be misused in many ways.
“Beyond the concerns that can come to us if this data falls into the hands of companies that use it for marketing, if they fall into the hands of cybercriminals the damage will be even more significant. These criminals use various methods to steal data on the phone, access private communications, steal financial data or even delete data. “This can go as far as receiving mobile data.” said Hidri.
This is not the only list of telephone numbers circulating on the network. The scandal started with the publication of the list of patrons, part of which were the cell phone numbers of these persons included in the list, to continue with the publication of the salary database along with the phone numbers and license plates of vehicles that caused a social conflict .
