Albanian Defense Minister Niko Peleshi paid an official visit to Athens, where he was received by his Greek counterpart Nikos Panayotopoulos.
The focus of the meetings was bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, as well as the European perspective of the Western Balkans region.
Panayotopoulos stressed the constructive role of our country in NATO. He said that Greece will continue to support Albania in the field of defense, as well as the education of Albanian cadets in Greek defense academies.
In continuation, Minister Peleshi was reserved an honor ceremony at the monument of the unknown soldier in the Syndagma Square of Athens, where the latter placed a wreath at this monument.
Accompanied by the Albanian Ambassador to Greece Luela Hajdaraga, Mr. Peleshi held meetings with important exponents in the Greek army, with the Chief of General Staff of the army and senior generals of the Greek army.
