Democrat MP Ina Zhupa demands a meeting of the PD Parliamentary Group, with the participation of all MPs, including Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha.
Through a post on the social network “Facebook”, Zhupa proposes the joint meeting of 52 deputies of the Democratic Party, voted by Albanian citizens, in the parliamentary elections of April 25.
“The first meeting should take place with only one item on the agenda: The situation in the DP! To listen to each other, to talk to each other face to face and not through the television screens where we have become the daily food of the public that follows it like a soap opera!
The first meeting should take place in the premises of the presidency of the assembly where other parliamentary groups also meet, but also where our group has met on certain occasions.
The first meeting should be moderated by the youngest member of the parliamentary group, Andia Ulliri, and there should be no time limit in discussions. Let the party hierarchies disappear for a moment, nothing bad will come“, Writes Zhupa.
The situation at the blue headquarters continues to be tense. After the threatened resignation of Lulzim Basha, the party is led by the commanding chairman Enkelejd Alibeaj. Meanwhile, Sali Berisha has stepped up efforts to regain control of the party after nine years. He has said he will run for the Democratic presidency.
“I will be in the open competition and invite any colleague who will compete, it is welcome in a fair competition, with rules. “Every deputy is free to have his own agenda of meetings and his own voters.”said Berisha.
