Prime Minister Edi Rama announced a few days ago that the verification of the declared salary and lifestyle will soon begin, in order to prevent tax evasion.
You can not afford expensive houses and cars, as long as you have a salary that does not justify them, said the Prime Minister. But how will lifestyle tracking be done? Economist Pano Soko, in an analysis for the show “Top Talk”, says that before investigating the lifestyle of citizens, the Prime Minister himself must show the income and expenses he makes, as all MPs and ministers must do.
“Look at people moving with AMG, the latest Mercedes type at all, or have two or three houses and have a whole life without work. The model of all these are the children of the deputies, the children of the ministers, who look at the streets of Tirana with the most expensive cars. Follow their “Instagram” and see them in Dubai, as well as in Singapore, with a salary of 1 million and 200 thousand ALL”.
Soko addresses Edi Rama directly, when he says that “the lifestyle really demands me, but I once asked myself, sir, those expensive collars you wear, all the expensive firm clothes”.
Even sleeping pajamas are expensive, the economist adds ironically.
“The children who take them to schools and go out with expensive cars to the streets where they find them, with the 1.2 million ALL they receive. Justify your lifestyle, to be followed by those behind you, directors, ministers and then I looked for ordinary people. We know them very well, not to mention names, the children of MPs, some are strong, some are gangsters, some are with the most expensive cars, some you see on ‘Instagram’, some you see on TV”.
