“The Open Balkans Agreement is showing daily mutual economic and human benefits for Albania, Northern Macedonia and Serbia. In the first 4 months of 2022, the trade volume between our three countries has increased by 70%, reaching over 57 million euros from 33 million euros in the first four months of 2021 “said Minister Krifca in her speech.

Following the agreement reached late last year, meetings between the three parties’ technical groups have been intensive, and the Ohrid Summit is another step towards consolidating and strengthening the single Balkan market.
The Minister of Agriculture, Frida Krifca, together with the Minister Ljupcho Nikolovski and the Minister Branislav Nedimović, as well as with the technical staffs of each country, discussed ways to qualitatively monitor exports, further facilitate procedures for businesses, total elimination of waiting time at the border as and prevention of non-tariff barriers.
