The Basic Court in Bar on December 30 imposed a 30-day detention measure on Edin Begzic, who threatened in front of the NLB Bank branch in this city with weapons and fake explosive devices.
The spokesman for the Prosecution in Bar, Radovan ururiishi tha, said that the request of the Prosecution for detention on remand for Begziiq, suspected of causing the crime of causing panic and riots, was approved.
Begzic, in the early hours of December 28, pasted a sign on the bank branch that read “Return the money you stole from former Primorka employees” and threatened to detonate the explosives.
In the company “Primorka” for whose workers Begzic demanded unpaid wages had worked his parents who lost their jobs.
Hours after the blockade of part of the city and threats, Begzic turned himself in to police after talking to members of the police and Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic.
During the siege of the bank, however, Begzic did not endanger anyone and did not take hostages.
In a video, which Begzic posted on YouTube before his action, he said he was wearing a bulletproof vest, a tear gas mask and a Molotov cocktail and had a revolver with bullets and two improvised explosive devices.
After his arrest, the police found that the explosive and the weapon he possessed were fake./REL/
