Health authorities in France and Italy recorded a record number of coronavirus cases, while the “Omicron” variant continues to spread slightly.
On Saturday, France reported 104611 new cases with Covid 19, the highest daily record since the start of the epidemic in the country.
The French Public Health Agency said the total number of infections had exceeded 9 million. There are more than 16,000 inpatients in hospitals across the country, and more than 3,000 of them are in intensive care.
