The price of fuel has reached the highest level in history.
According to this table, at a gas station in the capital, a liter of oil costs 192 ALL, while gasoline 198 ALL. In one liter of fuel there are 7 taxes, Excise, Turnover, Carbon, Re-licensing, Scanning, Marking and VAT. All together they make almost 110 lek.
It is not known where the price increase stops, what is known for sure is that it is directly burdening our pockets.
Drivers: I have been working as a taxi driver for 10 years. The car runs on gas. It used to cost 40 lekë, now more than double, 92 lekë. We are looking for cheaper items. The state only knows how to impose taxes, to take our breath away. None of the taxes are returned to us in services.
The union does not have, or are all sold out.
We are humble, when in fact it would be good to get together and turn off the cars.
It is much cheaper in Macedonia as well. I’m supplied there.
My car has not moved for 2 months. I was just having a health emergency or disaster. We work and we are poor at these prices that are peaking.
