The price of oil has risen again. After reaching a record price of 230 lekë, this product has gone from 240-260 lekë in retail outlets.
Fuels are affecting the increase of inflation in Albania, where only for February the impact of this group on the increase of prices went up to 15%.
Economics expert Eduart Gjokutaj thinks the government should take action:
In the fiscal package approved by the Committee on Economy, the government decided to index the excise tax on this product with inflation, and since inflation has exceeded 3%, this will further burden the fiscal burden on this product.
In Albania there are about 720 thousand registered vehicles, while about 20% of them are vehicles such as trucks or vans.
