Roberto D’Aversa is no longer the coach of Sampdoria. The Genoese club has fired the 46-year-old due to negative results.

Through an official press release, the Serie A club has announced the termination of cooperation with the Italian coach.
D’Aversa took charge of Sampdoria in July and led the team in 24 games, 22 in the league and two in the Italian Cup.
Marco Giampaolo is rumored to be the new coach of Sampdoria. The 54-year-old has led this team in the period July 2016-June 2019.
