Ralf Rangnick has closed the adventure with Manchester United. After taking over as interim coach on December 3 until the end of the season, the 63-year-old German has announced that he will not stay at United as a consultant, after accepting the offer of the Austrian coach.
Rangnick will take over the leadership of the Austrian national team on June 1, as the English club has formalized the separation with him through an official communiqué, which reads: “We would like to thank Ralf Rangnick for his efforts as interim manager over the past six months.
By mutual agreement, Ralf will now focus exclusively on his new role as coach of the Austrian national team and therefore will not take on an advisory role at Old Trafford. We wish him luck in this new adventure”.
Germany failed to qualify the “Red Devils” in the Champions League. United executives chose Dutchman Erik Ten Hag as the new captain of the team. The 52-year-old has signed until 2025 with Manchester United./ SuperSport
