The Cameroonian farmer transforms his mushrooms into different shapes according to specialties for both restaurant and beauty salon customers.
“Usually the production of mushrooms lasts for three months, for a total of about 250 to 300 kg during a campaign”, says the official of the distribution company Brice Nono
His employees are satisfied with the experience, as student Vicky Sonua says:
“Mushrooms cost less to grow so I was interested. I came to learn after my studies”.
“Later I want to open my own mushroom farm, mainly therapeutic ones. I also like to eat mushrooms, they can be made into soup, meatballs or other forms.”
While esthetician Josiane Sogo, said that mushrooms also have many therapeutic values for hair.
“Mushroom oil softens hair, nourishes and makes it grow, stops dandruff and hair loss. Their oil can also be used by men and the effect is a natural feature of the hair”, adds the local stylist.
