Sweden’s confirmation of its application for NATO membership has provoked numerous reactions in international politics.
Norway, Denmark and Iceland issued a joint pledge to their Nordic neighbors, offering them support if attacked before their respective applications are considered.
“Together with Denmark and Iceland, Norway is ready to assist its Nordic neighbors with all the necessary means if they are victims of aggression on their territory before joining NATO.”– said the Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Stoere
