A North Korean news agency claims that the predecessor dictator, Kim Jong Un’s father, invented the soufflé, burrito or any other fast food wrapped in pies.
In a propaganda video the media show citizens happily eating food similar to Mexican burritos, even though the country is in the midst of a food crisis from US economic sanctions.
The daily Rodong Sinmun said that Kim Jong Il had the idea of ”wrapping grain with food inside” in 2011, shortly before suffering a fatal heart attack, writes the British tabloid The Sun. .
The government press body also claimed that the current dictator is very interested in this food because “it is being much preferred by the population”.
Photos in the newspaper show a street vendor selling food outside a food factory in Kumsong with trays filled with wrappers inside that look like carrots and cabbage, writes ‘investigative network’ Yahoo News .
The picture also shows a mural of Kim’s father squirming in the kitchen where burritos are being prepared.
But the large amount of food in sight is in stark contrast to the real situation reported in the country.
