Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said today that he is not interested in attending the diplomatic summit Summit of the Americas, which is being held in June in Los Angeles.

Ortega also said today at an event in the capital Managua that he demands a ban on US discrimination against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
Washington has not yet made official invitations to the summit but has only said that the condition for participation is “respect for democracy.”
The US envoy to the continent, Brian Nichols, has previously said that Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela “do not respect” the 2001 Inter-American Democratic Constitution.
After the President of Mexico, the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, announced that he conditioned his participation with the representation of all countries at the June 6-10 summit in Los Angeles.
