The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announces that “it has been in constant communication for the transport of Pfizer vaccines, and thanks to intensive efforts, 15,210 reported doses are expected to arrive in Albania”.
The quantity that is expected to arrive is the third part of the vaccines that the Albanian government bought directly from the Pfizer company.
After two or two weeks, another quantity of vaccines is expected to arrive, this time from the Covax alliance, which are AstraZeneca. Minister Manasirliu said today in parliament that they will be used to vaccinate teachers.
“We also expect the Covax instrument to arrive within the first two weeks of March and 14,400 Astra Zeneca vaccines, with which we will continue to vaccinate, combining and giving priority to teachers, in order to continue to have a good progress in the function of educating children and protecting teachers ”.
