But on the other hand all hospitals are equipped with all medicines and medical materials to cope with any emergency during these holidays. Emergency units in hospitals have taken measures for staff on standby. “Apart from the reinforced staffs, there are also doctors who are” on call “who are called in cases when the flows may be increased”, said Manastirliu.
Minister Manastirliu appealed for extra care from the citizens during the night of the change of years.
“As recommended by the Committee of Experts for all citizens, we must be very careful that the holidays are in the small family. Minister Manastirliu thanked the doctors for their readiness and sacrifice not only on New Year’s Eve but throughout the period of the pandemic where they have served with dedication to all citizens in need.

The order of reinforced readiness for hospitals during the holidays, signed by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, determines the strengthening of the teams available for the emergency 24/7, from 31 December to 5 January;
Providing medicines and medical supplies of first aid necessary to cope with any case that is considered a medical emergency;
Ensuring the readiness of medical transport by ambulance for patients who need this service or who need referral for more specialized medical assistance;
Compiling the list of on-call doctors for each service and posting it in the emergency medical facilities of each hospital.
The National Medical Emergency Center will ensure readiness to receive and respond to any call for medical assistance;
The Medical Helicopter Transport Unit has taken measures to ensure the readiness of medical helicopters.
