The General Director of the State Police, Gledis Nano, after the changing moments of the years, inspected the police services in the field, wishing them a Happy New Year and thanking them for their commitment to the work done by them.
Subsequently, Director Nano gave a statement to the media saying that there were no incidents reported or ascertained.
Gledis Nano: I want to thank all the police officers who have been on duty, have done a wonderful job, as well as all the police forces, which are in full readiness to ensure order and calm throughout the territory of Albania, not we have had no incidents reported or ascertained so far. Thankfully this year has started with a good start, it is true that it is a different year and anticovid measures are required, but as you can see all the people who are celebrating are happy and I wish everyone a good year, healthy and very successful.
In the coming days the situation will return to normal and the police services will continue their services as they have done before, so we do not expect any major change, all citizens know how to behave in relation to anticovid measures and with the services performed by the Police, as well as with the set schedule and for this there will be notifications from us.
So far we have not ascertained and reported any incidents. It is an apartment, we have received a notification, the fire brigade has gone and the police officers are taking measures to extinguish the fire, there is no injured person in the apartment, we will determine the cause later and we will have another press release, you thank you, happy everyone.
Afterwards, the General Director of the State Police, Gledis Nano, together with the Director of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, Lorenc Panganika, visited the Command and Control Room at the Tirana DVP, where he congratulated the police officers who were on duty. The management specialist reported to the General Director on the situation, which during the changing years has passed without problems regarding the use of fireworks, and no criminal events have been identified.
