Citizens celebrated at home, went out in the squares and saw the spectacles with fireworks and all joined in a wish: Health and prosperity!

In the Municipality of Vlore In addition to fireworks, there were also songs and dances by the citizens, who welcomed the change of years in the historic area of the city, where the municipality had organized a concert.
IN Elbasan 2022 was greeted with a spectacle of fireworks. Citizens followed the magic of lights in the sky in “Aqif Pasha” square, while the removal of restrictive hours filled the bars after midnight.
Korca also welcomed with festive atmosphere the night of the change of years, while the citizens gathered in the pedestrian area of the city.
IN Gjirokastra the New Year’s night spectacle was organized in the historic part of town, with a fireworks display from the castle.

The night of the change of years around the world passed in a festive atmosphere though under the shadow of Omikron. In Brazil New Year’s Eve was marked by the throwing of fireworks on the iconic Copacabana beach, which attracted thousands of visitors.
Meanwhile in Britain, the famous Big Ben gong after four years of absence announced the arrival of the new year, gathering large crowds of people. In Greece, as the clock struck 12 skies over the famous Acropolis was lit by fireworks.
About 7,000 people gathered in Puerta del Sol square in Madrid eating grapes and dancing until it scored 12. While in New York, about 15,000 people gathered in Times Square to watch the ball fall. The number of spectators was limited due to anticovid measures.
