A teenager who planned to torture and kill her boyfriend with a detailed list of actions for the steps she would take, is imprisoned today in Britain.
Sophie George was furious about revenge and had filled bags with duct tape, laundry medicine and insulating tools, before waiting for Adam Yioses meeting in Brighton, Britain at her home in late 2019.
Prior to her plan, she had drafted a detailed manual for “sending him to the place of burial, torture and murder.”
George, who was 18 at the time, had tried to get Yioses to drive to the parking lot before pulling out a knife and hitting him in the hand as the boy began to defend himself.
The victim had managed to get out of the car and called the police, while George, now 20, had punched him and bitten his finger with all his might.
When police arrived at the scene they had handcuffed Yiosese before realizing what the real situation was and discovering the means of killing the girl, which he had brought with him.
Her written plan envisioned forcing Yiosese to walk towards a grave she had dug, torturing her to reveal the names of the other girls he had gone to bed with.
Sending the girl into custody, Judge Christine Henson said: “It seems that you were obsessed with revenge because you were convinced that the victim was sleeping with other women.”
“You had planned your attack in every detail and even sought and escaped responsibility and possible discovery.”
George pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder and possession of a dangerous weapon. She was sentenced to 13 years in prison, and must serve at least two-thirds of her sentence behind bars.
“Your notes of horrific torture to reveal the whereabouts of other women are an extreme reaction to a normal event in the case of a casual partner.”
The court was told that victim Yiosese had remained in distrust of his friends after he had trusted George and she had tried to kill him.
Prosecutor Jennifer Gray said George and Yiosese had known each other when she was 17 and he was at the University of Brighton.
Police later discovered she had tried to learn how to close the doors of his model car.
