The reconstruction process is continuing at a fast pace in the territory of the municipality of Durrës where Manza was one of the areas most damaged by the earthquake.
In the new neighborhood of Manza, the works have entered the final phase. During an inspection in the area, the mayor of Durrës Emiriana Sako said that very soon the first families living in containers and rented apartments will enter the new apartments.
“Here we have 226 new apartments that will serve to house the damaged families in the 9 buildings that collapsed in this administrative unit. The lot has been drawn for a part and on the 27th we have the second phase of the lot. At the beginning of February, the first families will enter these apartments “, said Emiriana Sako.
In addition to the new neighborhood in Manëz and the two palaces built in the city of Durrës that are being completed, the reconstruction continues with other essential interventions for the citizens.
“Apart from the two sites of Manza and Spitalla where the contracts were signed, the first lot of work has started for the first 15 buildings, work has started for DS4 facilities and within January we will start the structural reinforcement of 13 other facilities in the city and beach . We have also completed 265 individual apartments. We have finished 16 schools and we are waiting for the second phase of working with EU funds to startë “, said Sako.
Even this year, according to Sakos, the reconstruction process will continue to be a priority for the municipality of Durres, providing quality work and security for its residents.
