Over 1 thousand public and private health facilities including dental clinics will go through the site of the newly established Accreditation Agency and will assess whether our hospitals meet the required standards.
Only after being accredited can they apply to obtain a hospital autonomy card. But our hospitals seem to be far from this process as so far only 36 structures are accredited such as the former sanatorium of Tirana, Elbasan hospital and some health centers but no hospital is accredited in the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa”.
Accreditation of medical clinics has a deadline. Every 5 years, you must go to the Agency’s site if you meet the standards to be accredited.
