522 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 24 hours in our country, a lower number than the day before.
There is also a decrease in active cases in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 18,757 active patients with Covid 19.
Five infected citizens lost their lives: two citizens from Durrës 73 and 87 years old, one citizen from Vlora 77 years old, one citizen from Tirana 88 years old.
Out of 3030 tests performed in total, 290 cases were confirmed positive in Tirana, 36 in Fier, 17 in Durrës, Lushnjë, 14 in Vlora, Gjirokastër, 12 in Saranda, 9 in Devoll, 7 in Gramsh, Librazhd, Prrenjas, 6 in Delvinë , 5 in Mirditë, Kavaja, Tepelena, Skrapar, Peqin, 4 in Kurbin, Mallakastër, Pogradec, Kuçovë, 3 in Fushë Arrëz, Kukës, Has, Tropojë, Lezhë, Kamzë, Libohovë, Kolonjë, Berat, 2 in Patos, Përmet, Memaliaj, Poliçan, 1 in Shkodër, Krujë, Vora, Dibër, Mat, Divjakë, Selenicë, Himarë, Konispol, Dropull.
130 patients are being treated at Covid hospitals, 21 of whom are in a more serious condition.
2,259 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 236,440 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others. Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. MSHMS appeals to citizens who have passed 6 months from the second dose of vaccine, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points, to be vaccinated with the third booster dose.
The Ministry of Health reminds the citizens that the observance of anti-covid protocols is a necessity for the protection of health. Mask placement is mandatory in any enclosed environment. Avoid crowds and ventilate your living quarters to limit the spread of Covid 19.
