A fantastic new school is being built in Caesarea. In the new school year it will host 600 students and after the 2019 earthquake, today it is rising stronger and more beautiful for the community.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj said that the 9-year school “17 Shkurti” will be ready in time. “In recent years, the area has grown tremendously. There has always been a need to make sure children do not hang out in other schools. The earthquake, in addition to being a disaster, turned into an opportunity.
“It gave us the opportunity, in addition to the 9-year school, to have the high school that we are doing at the former Army Intelligence Service, where the terrains are even bigger”, he said.
Veliaj underlined the fact that parents should be encouraged to take their children to schools near their neighborhood. According to him, the schools have the same quality, even better than the schools in the center of Tirana.
“Children spend endless time in traffic. This does not make sense! It is a fact that here, in the suburbs, we have even better schools, because they are newer, made with the latest technology, with energy efficiency, with abundant classrooms. There are also schools and community centers. We are creating a super gym, an auditorium, the same as we did at the Art High School, at the school “Servete Maçi”, or in many of the other schools in the center of Tirana. These are spaces that can be used by the community. So the school should be a little more than an environment used only between 8:00 and 13:00; to be used for sports, art and culture, even on weekends, if there are activities from the community “, clarified Veliaj.
SP MP, Xhemal Qefalia said that the work done by the Municipality of Tirana speaks for itself. He spoke of a wonderful job. “Those skeptics who think where the earthquake money goes, here it goes!
For school, kindergarten, high school, kindergarten. “I am wonderful and I can not wait for the students to see it in September”, concluded Qefalia.
