The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, through a post on Twitter, has revealed the conversation he had today at the NATO summit, with US President Joe Biden.
Rama said that Biden had said the best words about Albania and its role in the Security Council, and that he had expressed a desire to organize something together on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Albania-US diplomatic relations.
The Prime Minister also announced that he appreciates the agreement reached between Sweden, Finland and Turkey and said that he requested that Kosovo be immediately invited to the Partnership for Peace mechanism.
“I heard from President Joe Biden the best words about Albania and its role in the Security Council and NATO, as well as the expression of his desire to organize something together on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and the United States.
I praised the agreement reached between Sweden, Finland and Turkey, appreciating President Erdogan’s direct approach in view of a very serious concern of the Turkish state and underlined that this agreement is an example for resolving problems between allies.
