Cooperation with counterparts continues, for the capture and extradition of persons declared internationally wanted.
Thanks to the cooperation with the Italian counterparts, an internationally wanted citizen, sentenced to 18 years in prison, has been extradited from Italy to our country.
Ilir Bashaliu, 51 years old, was extradited from Milan, Italy, to our country, from the Central Office Interpol Tirana.
The Court of Appeal of Vlora, with the decision of 26.10.2005, has sentenced this citizen to 18 years in prison, for the criminal offense “Trafficking in women for prostitution, in aggravating circumstances” committed in collaboration.
This citizen was arrested in Italy, on 22.07.2014, and until December 2021 remained in prison on behalf of Italian justice, for another criminal offense committed in Italy.
Circumstances of the event / In Peqin, in June 2001, the citizen Ilir Bashaliu, in cooperation with 5 other citizens, sent a citizen to Italy and used her for prostitution
