It has happened to all of us that after an evening of fun we booked an expensive taxi to go home instead of the bus or train.
But in the case of Leoni Fildes the event was a little more shocking after the bank called him the next day to inform him that the taxi company had tried several times to get $ 5000 from her account.
The 34-year-old had celebrated a birthday on Saturday, March 5, but by having fun the conversation had become serious and friends had started discussing the war in Ukraine.
So the mother of two children, Leoni, after “throwing” a few glasses of Sambuca gin, decided to order a taxi to the place of war “to go and help”.
Leoni says: “I am 34 years old, I should have thought better of it. The next day when I remembered that I had really done it I was shocked. The bank called me because they believed my card was being used illegally. “The taxi group had tried nine times to take the money from the account.”
The woman says she was liberated because she did not have enough money in the account otherwise she did not know what would have happened.
“I went out with my friends in Swinton, and there was talk of a war in Ukraine. My boyfriend is military and I was saying that if he goes, I will go too. After drinking and some drinks we asked for a taxi to return home. “They could not bring a taxi to go home, which was 10 minutes away, but when we jokingly told them about Ukraine, they were ready.”
A company spokesman said: “The rescue order was not successful and we are still investigating to find out what happened.” /Metro.co.uk/
